What's right about Wazabi Sushi Bar get hooked on asian fusion Kingwood Texas
Are you a sushi snob or hater or face it, maybe you can't fathum eating raw fish or the other excuse I hear- it never fills me up...no worries you are not alone; however i want you to consider stepping out of your comfort zone and trying Wazabi Sushi Bar located in Humble at Atascocita near Kingwood Texas -east of Lake Houston Parkway on East FM 1960 near Lake Houston (Next to Italiano's).
This sushi bar restaurant offers a full bar and it is a hidden gem in Atascocita Texas featuring unique asian fusion dishes. It is a great place for you to get to know sushi or try other unique dishes. I recommend the sushi rolls that really satisfy -you can order cooked, if you are not ready for raw fish; or with soy paper not seaweed- a good way to make it less fishy tasting!
At Wazabi they offer many options to help you get into sushi with cooked rolls (try the Cajun Roll with cooked scallops) and much more including a hibachi menu and full kitchen menu (great fried rice) Off the menu ask for the Bulgogi beef tacos- a tasty dish that has nothing to do with sushi. Consider asking for the Kimchi (spicy cabbage topping) on the side of your tacos if you are not sure about it.
For those hungry bears try the rolls, they are oversized and come with unique sauces that cannot be resisted requiring no soy sauce. If you are one that says sushi doesn't fill me up - try the Texan Roll- served with filet mignon it really satisfies the hungry!
Ok, still a skeptic ...don't feel bad, we were all there once in our lives, as a child I wouldn't eat anything seafood or vegan vegatarian and certainly not raw fish or sushi. However, I loved to fish and came to love fish especially non fishy fish like fresh fish. Well sushi was a natural progression for me -a local Wazabi fan- Will and today their is not a sushi dish I won't try including Monk fish; but don't think about what a Monk fish looks like- the meat is very much like pate! Wazabi's Monk Fish Special is light, refreshing and a great snack before your roll- not always available.
Now, I am one of the more adventurous sushi eaters and eel or as they call it in sushi bars Unagi, is really awesome and Wazabi has it as sushi or sashimi -or without the rice. For the adventurous or for those that like a fishy, salty taste try the Fish Roe- its not for all. I have been converting everyone I can, including my wife- Julie to Wazabi Sushi Restaurant. Take my lead and take the Wazabi challenge...my wife is now a sushi lover thanks to Wazabi and she even uses chop sticks without the kid cheaters now! ...thank you Wazabi she is now hooked- it was the "Harry Larry," roll that did it for her.
Wazabi sushi bar and restaurant is located conveniently on east FM 1960 between W. Lake Houston Parkway and the Lake Houston bridge next to Italianos- at Atascocita . Happy hour daily with drink and appetizer specials from 5-7pm- Open for dinner Mon-Friday- Open at Noon on Saturday- Closed Sunday.
