Wazabi Sushi Bar Helps Humble School with Global Awareness Week
Wazabi Sushi Bar and Restaurant located in Humble -Atascocita Texas reaches out to students at Ross Sterling Middle school in Humble Texas for global awareness week. Students enjoyed learning how to make healthy sushi rolls, called California Rolls with Krab (Imitation Crab) meat.
While many had initial "oohs and ahhs" before trying their creations, once they tasted the sushi rolls, most wanted more. "This was a great opportunity and event to teach students about differnt global foods, in particular sushi, and its healthy benefits as well as entertain the kids," said Michelle Jiron owner of Wazabi Sushi Bar.
While most of the kids were sushi skeptics at first, they certainly changed their tune once they tasted their creations. If you are a sushi skeptic, we challenge you to come in and try Wazabi Sushi Bar and Hibachi Restuarant. We promise you will not go home hungry and that you will most likely become a converted sushi skeptic, just like the students of Ross Sterling middle school found themselves. Sushi is healthy and whether or not you are a vegan or vegetarian it does not really matter at Wazabi.
We offer rolls for all, including those that are non vegan. For example, for beef lovers try our rolls that feature filet mignon beef (The "surf and turf "and Texan Roll) that are guaranteed to satisfy even the biggest sushi skeptic and hunger pangs. If you still can't imagine eating sushi, Wazabi Sushi Bar offers hibachi and even Tacos with steak beef called "bulgogi." Another hint is to ask for your rolls to be wrapped with soy paper instead of seaweed. This lessons the any hint of a fishy taste. Come on in today and try Wazabi located off FM 1960 E. just east of W. Lake Houston Parkway off FM 1960. Link to Map
