Best Sushi Bar near George Bush Airport area- Humble Lake Houston

It is a little known secret for those locals from the Atascocita, Lake Houston-Humble, Texas area... near George Bush Intercontinental Airport -that Wazabi Sushi Bar and Hibachi may be the best sushi, Asian fusion restaurant in Houston and maybe in America. Yes, and it's not just me that thinks so; I have traveled to many top cities in America and have not found the creativity, taste and presentation that Wazabi Sushi Bar delivers on a daily basis. I would bet their creative sushi dishes up against any sushi bar. Why can I say that, I have been to some of the best sushi restaurants in San Francisco, LA, Chicago and Phoenix and I always compare them to Wazabi and often say that Wazabi is better. So if you have a long lay over flight or if you live near IAH George Bush airport and haven't given Wazabi a try make the 30 minute drive out to Lake Houston and you will not be disappointed. Wazabi is known for its "Omakase" specialties, which means, I leave it to you; so go in today and tell the sushi chef to get creative. (NOTE: Wazabi is open for Dinner Only- Closed Sunday). Here are some things to consider asking for, dry sriracha rubbed (flame seared edge) Tuna over just about anything, Sashimi style is great, however, they also serve it over blue cheese infused brussels sprouts- paired with Lucky Buddha Beer - Oh it's good:

Also they have a great happy hour menu everyday 5-7pm Monday - Saturday with a full bar and beer on tap. Another example of Wazabi's creativity is the spicy nachos and i will put these nachos up against any Mexican restaurants nachos and I am sure I would win! A must try dish!

So whether you are laid up at the Houston airport or live near it, make the effort to come out to East 1960 just past W. Lake Houston Parkway at Pinehurst Trails and look for Wazabi located next to Italiano's. I guarantee it will be a memorable experience. See you there!
